Following fellow classmate Art Tutorials!!

The first art tutorial I was inspired to try myself was this cute bunny drawing:

 https://junesanalysis.blogspot.com/2026/03/how-to-draw-cute-bunny.html

I've never been that good at drawing so I enjoyed the way each step was broken up on its own. It made it really easy to follow.

Here's my progress after the first step:

Step 2:

Onto step 3 and starting to see some progress:

Then I added some color and was finished. I'm pretty happy with this sketch and makes me excited for spring because this bunny is just too cute :))

The next art tutorial I followed was this fun and colorful Neurographic drawing:https://tooflizz.blogspot.com/2026/03/my-art-tutorial.html

Hers my progress after the first step:

Progress after step 3 and it's starting to come along!!
Im really happy with the finished product and really enjoyed how informative and creative this art tutorial was!!

Cootie Catcher Art Tutorial!!

Hi All! Below is a video on how to make an origami cootie catcher. All you need is a piece of paper (8.5x11) or square sized of any dimension.

Here's a link to the history of cootie catchers to check out if your interested: https://www.mentalfloss.com/article/67389/brief-history-cootie-catchers

Also, here's an image of the steps swell as an additional resource:

I have always loved being creative and making these as a kid plus the steps are so simple, so I wanted to share this fun tutorial I created!

Here's the link to the video I made on google docs because the files is too large to add onto this blog!

Stamp Art!!

Today I followed this tutorial on creating your own stamps and digitizing the art afterwords as well! Check it out here: https://candacenicolgarlock.com/blog/http/wwwcandacegarlockcom-5

I started my process with a sketch of a sea shell and star fish. I then pressed the sketch into the carving block to allow for the pencil led to transfer the image over:

Then, I did a first press test after carving for a while and this is how it came out:

I made some revisions and carved a bit more while space into the shell and star fish to add more highlights and detail. It looked much better after I did that:

After that, I took the images into chat GPT and prompted it to "Use this art work as the background of an ocean art scene"

I'm pretty happy with this but it could use a little tweaking... "Use these images to create a beach scene, keep it in the style of the photos, rough and imperfect with stamp textures"

Thank you for reading!! -This was a lot of fun to do and I used complimentary colors as seen in the orange and blue to practice the elements of art.

Things I've learned from ART 103 so far!

What I've learned in ART 103 is how to get out of comfort zone and experiment with all kinds of materials, line working, inks, paint, sketching techniques and so much more. I've learned lots of intricate artistic techniques like blending, shading, and sketching techniques like cross hatching.

One of the biggest concepts we’ve explored is color theory, which explains how colors interact and how they can influence the mood of a design. For example, complementary colors sit opposite each other on the color wheel and create strong contrast, while triadic color schemes use three evenly spaced colors to create balance and energy. Learning these relationships has helped me think more strategically about how colors work together rather than just choosing what looks good. Overall, the class has helped me see design as a combination of creativity and visual problem solving.
